Week 15- DST63504 Introduction to Pattern Drafting & Garment Making

LESSON OF THE WEEK

This week marks the final class of the semester. It’s our last opportunity to ask any questions about our garments. For those who have already completed their garments, they will focus on preparing materials for next week’s presentation.

During class, Mr. Brian gathered us to provide a briefing on the presentation requirements. For the presentation, we need to either have a friend or a mannequin wear our final top. Additionally, we are required to prepare final pattern-making documentation and interpretation slides. Each of us will have 5–10 minutes to present our final outcomes to Mr. Brian and Mr. Daniel next week.

MISSION OF THE WEEK

This week’s task is to complete all remaining assignments and prepare thoroughly for the presentation.

Overall experience of the week is that I feel both relaxed and nervous. Since I completed all my assignments last week, this week has been relatively stress-free. However, I’m nervous about the presentation next week, as it will be my first solo presentation in front of just two tutors, which feels quite intimidating. Despite this, I hope everything goes smoothly for my presentation.
