Week 7- DST60604 Introduction To Fashion Design

LESSON OF THE WEEK

This week, Mr. Daniel started the class with a one-on-one consultation section by looking at our 25 design developments and choosing the 5 best designs out of the 25 design developments. Hence, he did some improvement in some of the drawings for us in order to have a better outcome. Moreover, he also told us to draw the 5 best designs on a new paper, which is also named 'Final Model Line Up', by having 5 best designs of models wearing the tops in a row.

Afterwards, he also taught us how to draw a front view and a back view of technical drawings by using a croquis picture from Pinterest. 

MISSION OF THE WEEK

We need to complete drawing the final model line-up, as well as the technical drawing before week 9. We need to expedite the progress of our assignment.

Moreover, as next week is independent learning week, we are all required to go for fabric sourcing to find which fabric is the best for our tops.

Lastly, we also need to do research on 6 to 7 choices of model posing on Pinterest, as we will be using the model posing pictures as examples for our drawing in our final presentation for our tops.

Overall experience of the week is that I'm getting more excited for this course, as we are almost going to the stage where we start sewing our tops. I'm glad that my tutor didn't doubt my ideas but gave more opinions for me to improve them, which gained my interest and confidence in this course.
