Week 6- DST60604 Introduction To Fashion Design

LESSON OF THE WEEK

For this week's class, our tutor did consultation one by one for our last week’s homework, which is our 20 initial designs. 

He first let us pick our top 5 initial designs. Hence, he can help to start with our design development. He taught me to design the design development using design elements like textile manipulation, details, or colour blocks. Moreover, he wanted us to make simpler designs for our tops, as this is our first semester and we don’t have much experience for sewing. In order to consume less time for our process of making tops, the simpler the better.

MISSION OF THE WEEK

The mission of the week is to draw 25 designs of design development, which is quite fun to do as I get to explore deeper for my designs.

Moreover, our tutor also wanted us to do a small sample fabric for our tops to show him next week in order to let him know that we can do it out and how the final outcome will be.

Overall experience of the week is that the task we doing is getting more stressed, and as this is almost the half of the semester, Im kind of worried about the other half of the semester and how suffered we will be, as according to my experience, the other half of the semester will be really tired and suffered.
