Week 4- DST60604 Introduction To Fashion Design

LESSON OF THE WEEK

This week, Mr. Daniel started the class with checking our assignment 1, which is the basic shirt compilation, as everyone needs to be completed, and let him check today. Hence, he will be checking one by one in order to let everyone have a perfect outcome for the assignment. Moreover, after checking our assignments, he continued with teaching us the layout and composition of the moodboards by showing some of the seniors’ examples, as some of us are doing it in the wrong way with pictures, which are not helpful for the moodboard. 

MISSION OF THE WEEK

After today’s consultation, I need to redo my moodboards, as my moodboards’ pictures don’t show clearly to my tutor what I’m going to express for my fashion outfit. Hence, I was also struggling with moodboards, as it’s difficult to create a clear direction and layout with lots of pictures, as we might be picking the wrong pictures to include in it.

Overall experience of the week was that I felt happy, as my tutor approved my first assignment, which I don’t need to redo anymore. However, I feel stressed and frustrated at the same time, as assignment 2’s workload is huge and moodboard is one of the difficult steps I need to pass through.
