Week 2- DST60604 Introduction To Fashion Design

LESSON OF THE WEEK

To start the class of the week, Mr. Daniel started by checking our progress on our first assignment to see whether there are any changes we need to make by 1 on 1. Moreover, he also presented us senior's inspiration proposal, as most of us have no idea  how to start it. He briefed us detailedly by each slide in order to let all of us have better thoughts of how to start it. Hence, I was impressed by the overall outcome of the senior's slides, as it can be clearly seen that she has put lots of effort into completing her final assignment before graduation. Everything that she did research is detailed, and the illustrations are creative.

MISSION OF THE WEEK

After the consultation during the class, I made some changes to my first assignment:

  • Design the background
  • Have creative layouts and fonts.
  • Research more than five elements in one category.
Hence, in order to receive a higher grade for my assignment, I made the changes that are listed above, which were mentioned by Mr. Daniel during the class. 

Moreover, the second task I did was start doing my inspiration proposal, as it will be discussed with Mr. Daniel next week, so he can briefly know what our inspirations are for our garments. Hence, as Mr. Daniel sent us examples of inspiration proposals, I can do the inspiration proposals smoothly by looking through the examples.
 
Overall, this week, my progress is a bit rushed, as I need to complete my first assignment as well as my inspiration proposal at the same time. I'm glad that I get to make fast progress so that I have things to show our tutor for more improvements.
