Week 13- DST63504 Introduction to Pattern Drafting & Garment Making

LESSON OF THE WEEK

For this week, we are having a replacement class at the same time that happened on Monday. Hence, we all did our own tops by ourselves during the whole time. If there’s nothing we don’t know how to do on, we will have a one-to-one consultation with Mr. Brian. Hence, we have to complete this first top with calico before Thursday’s class in order to let him know what or how we are going to do for our tops and how it looks in an actual view.

The last class of the week is on Thursday; hence, we all are showing him our outcome and having one-to-one consultation with Mr. Brian. As this is our last class before our submission day, we are all rushing at the time and asking as many questions as we can so that we won't miss out on any chance of asking him how to do our tops or how to solve the problems that our tops are currently having. Hence, during the class, we are all sewing and doing corrections for our tops.

MISSION OF THE WEEK

We need to complete our final tops by next week during the holiday, as after the holiday, it will be submission day for us. (The process of my outcome will be shown in week 14)

Overall, my experience of the week is that I feel excited, as next week will be a holiday. Moreover, during the process of sewing, I found that it wasn't that stressed as I thought last time. The more I sew, the better I am at sewing. Hence, it only takes 2 days to complete one calico fabric top, which improved a lot compared to the previous assignments.  Furthermore, I also feel like I'm getting more interest in this course, as the feeling of looking at my own final design top is really good, which also made me feel proud of myself.
