Week 12- DST63504 Introduction to Pattern Drafting & Garment Making

LESSON OF THE WEEK

This week, Mr. Brian began the class by teaching us how to place and hand-stitch buttons. He provided detailed instructions to ensure the buttons would be secure and not come off easily.

In addition, we had one-on-one consultations after the button tutorial. Each of us presented the pattern-making work we completed last week, allowing Mr. Brian to provide feedback and suggest changes to simplify the process. This adjustment was necessary as we are beginners and have limited time to complete our tasks.

MISSION OF THE WEEK

Our mission is to correct the draft patterns and ensure all fabrics are cut and ready for our next class on Monday, which will be a replacement session.

Overall, this week has been nerve-wracking and stressful. We are starting to sew the tops, a task I find challenging due to my unstable sewing techniques. Additionally, our class progress is significantly delayed compared to other classes, leaving us with less time to complete two tops within a month.
